The objective of this study was to examine fusional, hemolytic and hemagglutinating activities of the surface glycoprotein HN and F antigens of parainfluenza virus type 3, in vitro. On the results, it can be concluded that the described methods, among the other standard methods of virological diagnostics, can be successfully used for the detection and the identification of the crucial glycoprotein antigens of the outer envelope of parainfluenza virus type 3.
