Lead concentration has been tested in plant material collected on seven selected localities along M-21 road section: Irig - Iriski Venac - Paragovo (Serbia). Lead content in plant leaves is determined by AAS. The data obtained points out that lead concentration found in analyzed plant species differ depending on the locality, the highest lead concentration is in plants taken from localities with the highest traffic frequency and vehicle detaining time. Also, the results point out that chickenweed (Stellaria media) and dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) are lead hyperaccumulators with respect to other species tested.
