The study focused on investigating the effect of geological parent material on morphological properties of the weed species Thymus pulegioides L. subsp. effusus Host and Plantago media L. The investigation was carried out at two sites on mount Manjaca. The first one, Kadina Voda, has a limestone rock for parent material, while the other, Stricici, has a dolomite rock. Morphology of the species studied is characterized by adaptibility to unfavourable conditions that exist in dolomite rocks which is evident from their stunted growth, smaller leaves and prominent xeromorphic character.
