The association Panico-Ambrosietum artemisiifoliae is a new weed association in row crops and its members develop in maize, sunflower and soybean. It belongs to Polygono-Chenopodion, Koch 1926 em Sissingh. 1946, order Chenopodium albi Tx., Lohn. et Prsg. 1950, class Stellaria mediae Tx., Lohm. et Preg. 1950. Its members develop in south-west Macva (Serbia), mostly along the river Drina on the soil types: pseudogley, alluvial detritus and chernozem. A total 105 species make the floral composition of the association, and 66 (62.85%) of these species can be found in more than one releve. The biological spectrum of weeds shows that the association has a therophyte character (49.52%) and a high incidence of geophytes (30.46%). Hemicriptophytes are present 17.41% and phanerophytes 0.95%. The basic phytogeographical characteristic of the association Panico-Ambrosietum artemisiifoliae is the presence of floral elements of high frequency (76.08%) (circumpolar group of floral elements 7.54%, cosmopolitan 14.28%, Eurasian 43.79% and adventive 10.47%). The group of floral elements of lower incidence accounts for 22.83%. The most dominant among these is mid-European floral element (14.28%).
