Introduction of resistance genes to barley by molecular markers

Barley lines with resistance gene rym4, rym11 and Yd2manze were created by classical hybridization. Winter barley lines from combinations (KM 104 x Romanze), (Kamil x Romanze) and (Luxor x Romanze) were created with pyramiding genes for durable-resistance. Presence or absence both genes were analysed by molecular marker. Among 150 analysed accessions there were 9 individuals carying the markers of both genes from lines (KM 104 x Romanze) x Russia57, 3 plants from lines (Kamil x Romanze) x Russia57, and 9 individuals from lines (Luxor x Romanze) x Russia57. In F2 generation of spring barley from combination SK 5104 x Sutter there were from 20 analysed plants 12 individuals with marker of Yd2 gene, and 39 individuals from combination Ludan x Shannon.
