Fecenko, J.
In this article (1. part), we analyze interactions appearing by resorption of magnesium, calcium, potassium and phosphorus after application graduated dosses of magnesium info the light soil. These experiments were executed on sandy and sandy - clay soil texture with different content of available magnesium in soil, acid soil reaction and analogical soil adjusted by liming on neutral soil reaction. Model experimental crop was spring barley, sensitively responding on magnesium deficit in soil. On the basis of achieved results the following conclusions can be formulated. Soil liming eliminates antagonism of ions and by this supports uptake of magnesium by plants, but does not solve its deficiency in soil. Fertilization with magnesium was the most effective on soils with low and medium content of available magnesium. Increase of yield was also found out on soils with good magnesium supply. This increase was registred in those cases when high rates of NPK fertilizers were applied.
