The utilization of wood resources in the central Europe

This paper deals with the analysis of wood supply in the Slovak Republic and in selected countries in Europe (The Slovak Republic, The Czech Republic and Austria), and with the identification of wood resources as the main factor determining the supply of wood and wood products on the domestic and foreign market. According to the gained data the relations and foreign trade prognosis of the market are elaborated. So we can determine the possibilities of using new resources in the foreign trade and to improve the position and the next development of wood and wood products export, import and consumption in future.
