Significance of floodplain forests vegetation from the point of their socio-economic functions in the alluvium of the river Váh

إنجليزي. In the lowland of Slovakia there were identified only some fragments of the floodplain forests in the alluvium of the river Váh. In this paper there are presented our results of the assessment of the significance of the floodplain forest vegetation in the alluvium of the bottom reaches of the river Váh, on the localities with different groundwater level. We assessed selected ecological and structurally attributes of vegetation, productivity, and crop growth rate of the herbaceous layer. We can state that lower biomass production in the locality with lower groundwater level is accompanied by higher species diversity of the herbs. The herbs use higher groundwater level on the remains of the biomass productivity. The species diversity was reduced. As far as utilitarian functions of the floodplain forest are concerned, the vegetation reached the values of significance to socio-economic function in the landscape from median to extraordinarily high. We have found that the micro-climatic and selected soil protective functions of the floodplain forest in open landscape are of extraordinarily high value of significance.

السلوفاكية. V nížinnej krajine Slovenska v údolnej nive Váhu sme identifikovali už len fragmenty lužných lesov. V príspevku predkladáme výsledky hodnotenia významnosti vegetácie týchto fragmentov v alúviu dolného toku Váhu na lokalitách s rozdielnou hladinou podzemnej vody. Hodnotené boli vybrané ekologické a štrukturálne vlastnosti vegetácie, produktivita a rýchlosť rastu bylinnej zložky rastlinného spoločenstva. Potvrdili sme, že nižšia produkcia biomasy na stanovišti s nižšou hladinou podzemnej vody je sprevádzaná väčšou druhovou diverzitou bylinnej zložky vegetácie. Vyššiu hladinu podzemnej vody využili spoločenstvá na zvýšenie produkcie biomasy. Druhová diverzita bola znížená. V rámci socio-ekonomických funkcií v krajine dosahujú úžitkové funkcie vegetácie lužného lesa stredné až mimoriadne vysoké hodnoty významnosti. Za mimoriadne vysokú hodnotu významnosti považujeme mikroklimatické a vybrané pôdoochranné funkcie lužného lesa v otvorenej krajine.
