This experiment on In vitro germplasm preservation of Amorphophallus oncophyllus Prain ex Hook. F. was conducted in three separate experiments: experiment 1 involved the study of the effects of Daminozide concentration level, experiment 2 studied the effects of agar and BA+NAA concentration level, experiment 3 determined the effects of concentration of macroelement salts and sugar at 10 and 25 deg C towards the germplasm preservation for a period of 8 weeks. Results of the study showed that germplasm explants can't be survived at 10 deg C of all experiments, while germplasm can be preserved in Daminozide at a concentration level of 3.0 mg/l at 25 deg C or germplasm preserved in a 10 g/l agar with 0.1 mg/l BA+0.02 mg/l NAA or in a modified media of 1/4MS (1962) with 90 g/l sugar at the same temperature, showed the minimal growth and development of explants in terms of the width and length of explants and number of buds. When growth was imitated after germplasm preservation in the MS (1962) media consisting of 1.0 mg/l BA + 0.2 mg/l NAA in 8 g/l agar, the germplasm explants were able to proliferate even though it did not reach 100 percent growth.
