Efficacy of Aglaia odorata Lour. leaf extracts with methanol at the concentration of 2,000, 4,000 6,000 8,000 and 10,000 ppm were evaluated on mycelial growth (mycelial dry weight), conidial production, germ tube elongation and growth rate of Colletotrichum gloeosporioides causing agent of mango anthracnose. The results showed that the extracts at all concentrations slightly reduced mycelial growth in potato dextrose broth, but the conidial production was enhanced. However, the extracts at all concentration effectively reduced the germ tube elongation on water agar and mango leaf surface. At the highest concentration (10,000 ppm), the highest reduction of germ tube growth on water agar was observed (28.91 micron), whereas the germ tube length on mango leaf surface was lowest at 8,000 and 10,000 ppm (32.31 and 30.22 micron, respectively). In terms of the fungal growth rate, the results revealed that all concentrations of leaf extract reduced the growth rate of pathogen. The best reduction of growth rate was achieved at 8,000 ppm and higher concentration.
