This study is aimed to point out the water quality of natural habitat area and stomach content of the plotosid catfish. It was carried out at Bangtaboon estuary river mouth, Banleam District, Phetchaburi Province. The study was carried out twice during high tide in June and December 2004. Of each, 10 plotosid catfish were captured for stomach content observation. In addition, water quality at the area where found plotosid catfish was measured. Result revealed that the area where found plotosid catfish was about 3-6 meters depth near the sea floor. Water quality was recorded with a salinity of 27-30.6 ppt (parts per thousand), turbidity of 70-250 centimeters, temperature 28-29 deg C, pH 7.9-8 and dissolved oxygen 10.35-10.60 mg/l. The food contents in the fish stomach were green mussel (Perna viridis), banacles, unknow crab species and area granulose. The quantities of each food were varied due to the seasonal change.
