Four culture media: Brooks and Hough, Gilmore, Monet and Woody Plant media, were evaluated fro their effects on germinability of immature embryo and later seedling development of peach EarliGrande. The results showed that Woody Plant media yielded the highest germination of 88.7 percent. Seedling development on Woody Plant media such as height of 4.4 cm. leaves number of 6.3, number of lateral roots of 6.2, lateral root length of 13.8 cm, fresh weight of 0.527 g and dry weight of 0.074 g was greatest. After transplanting from culture media to growing media, seedling cultured on Woody Plant media showed the best growth with height of 5.8 cm, leaves number of 14.1 and leaves area of 5.2 square cm, while Monet resulted in the least growth. Seedlings' survival after transplanting was highest with Woody Plant media at 54.4 percent.
