Tanova, K., Institute of Agriculture, Shumen (Bulgaria)
The development of rhizoctonia root decay in artificial inoculation of the plants sugar beet and fodder beet, has been studied over of five year period under the climatic conditions of the Tsarev brod village, branch of the Institute of Agriculture in the town of Shumen. Found were some differences in the incubation periods durations, the intensity and the dynamics of the development of the illness according to the culture-host, the duration of the inoculation and the climatic conditions during the perios of vegetation. Under equal agroclimatic conditions the sugar-beet rhizoctonia root decay in contrast to the mangel-wurzel appears 45 days earlier and passes more intensively independently of the culture, the host and the pathogen; infects more effectively at inoculation immediately before the tuber technological ripeness.
