Comparative variety experiment was performed with forage winter faba seeds in the area of Central South Bulgaria. Six varieties winter of forage faba for seeds were tested - Meris Bina; Buldog; Burgon; Meris Bigal; Webo and Trous. Chemical composition and energy value - content of total energy, metabolizable energy, FUM and FUG of seeds were established by the new system for evaluation. Yield of seeds, yield of protein, yield of energy and yield of feed units were calculated. It was established that the examined varieties differ in chemical composition, nutritive value and productivity. Protein content was the highest in the seeds of Meris Bigal variety, but variety Webo had the highest content of fat. Variety Meris Bigal and Meris Bina have the highest energy and feeding value. The highest yield of crude protein was obtained from variety Meris Bigal, and the highest yield of seeds, energy and feed units was obtained from variety Trous.
