The paper deal with the influence of mechanical and chemical combating the S. halepensis L.. Pers in area with a natural background of weed infestation on luvic phacozem in the experimental field of the Pavlikeni branch of the institute of forage crops, Pleven. Mechanical combating including ploughing in + basic tillage and summer deep tillage + the herbicide sanglifo in quantities 6 and 8 l/ha. The changes in number and structure of some basic groups of soil microorganisms have been studied at 2 layers. We established that the number of studied microorganisms showed a increased stronger in ploughing-in soil compared to that subject to tillage. The integrated combating with a dose of with 6l/ha S. halepensis showed a suppressing effect on the number of population of amonifying bacteria and cellulose decompositing microorganisms.
