[Combining ability of the national and foreign lines of Pekin breed ducks]

In the conditions of the Republic of Belarus there was realized the crossing of the German duck population with the Pekin breed ducks reared for the further breeding selection for the increasing of live weight and meat-making qualities of ducklings of the national cross Temp. In course of research the comparative evaluation of rate of growth and meat qualities of the crossbred ducklings of the first generation of different linear combinations was realized. The realized analysis of the morphological state of duck carcasses showed that crossbred ducklings had higher meat production qualities and lowered fat content without lowering of meat content in comparison with the pure breeds ducklings that could have take place due to the heterotic vigor effect. Results of the morphological analysis (gender; ducklings live weight; yield of pan-ready carcasses; percentage of skin and skeleton; pectoral muscles thickness) of duck carcasses of male and female lines were presented. The constituents the edible parts of pure line ducklings were presented by skin and subcutaneous fat while in hybrids there was stated the increasing amount of muscles including the pectoral ones
