[Complex study of the genetic resources of bean for the creation of new varieties]

For the evaluation of the level of the polymorphism of the collection of string bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) genotypes there was realized the statistical analysis of the long-term data of the field observations over the collection samples in the conditions of the Republic of Belarus. Variation range of single signs (length, thickness and width of seed and ripe bean, longevity of the vegetation periods, seed quantity, seed yielding capacity, plant length, seed weight, etc.) as well as the frequency of occurrence of string bean samples with the different values of quality indices were analysed. Analysis of collection samples for the disease resistance showed that 22,5% of all analysed samples were affected by mosaic virus, 48,1% - by bacterial blight, 41,2% - by Fusarium blight and anthracnose. Analysis of the variation of the elements of crop productivity and yield structure showed that the method of the modification variability of equal signs was similar for all studied samples. Study of the correlation relations and multiple regressions between crop productivity and yield structure showed that crop productivity was determined by the following elements: seed number per plant; number of beans per plant; number of the productive nodes; flap length. Research results showed that Navy and Small White string bean varieties were the most perspective for Belarus conditions. New high productive lines and varieties Naida, Rosica and Arleyka were created
