[Application of 24-ehpibrasssinolide on the tomato cropping]

Brassinosteroids are natural phytohormones, widespread in plants (their content fluctuates from 10 in -5 degree to 10 in -12 degree%). They show the biological action in insignificant small concentration (10 in -12 degree to 10 in -7 degree М), stimulating seed germination, plant growth and development, raising their stability to adverse weather conditions, increasing productivity of agricultural cultures and favorably influencing on their nutritional value. On the basis of one of brassinosteroids - 24-epibrassinolide preparation EhPIN, a growth regulator, adaptogen is developed. The given preparation is resolved to application and recommended for use on agricultural crops - potato, sugar and table beet, cabbage, some vegetable and grain crops. Special interest in connection with development of a network of hothouse economy in Belarus represents studying of possibility of use of preparations on a basis of brassinosteroids in the protected ground. Hothouse trials over two years have demonstrated significant effect of 24-epibrassinolide on the production of tomato crop (10-13% increasing) and the enhancement of food value with respect to vitamin C, B-carotene, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and mineral substances (Ca, Mg, P) content
