[Influence of UV irradiation on the functional state of erythrocytes of different age group of pigs]

The daily UVB irradiation of piglets in a dose of 72-90 J/square m increases the antioxidant status of erythrocytes and reduces negative influence of weaning stress on pigs. It is expressed in increase in сells of the content of restored glutathione and activity of superoxide scavenger on 22-29% and 4-7% accordingly. Negative influence on pigs of wean stress decreases, the quantity of products of peroxide lipids oxidations in blood after wean remains at level of the sucking period, erythrocytes haemolysis in the presence of peroxide in conditions in vitro on 18% more low in comparison with the control. The obtained results suggest perspectivity of use of UV radiation exposure as a prophylactic agent increasing adaptive abilities of pig organism to resist the action of unfavorable external factor
