[New long-fibred flax varieties of the Mogilev experimentation station]

Results of the long-fibred flax selection at the Mogilev Regional Experimental Agricultural Station of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus are presented. Trends and methods of creating initial material and varieties with different terms of maturity are shown. New varieties according to vegetation period length, productivity of flax straw, fiber and seeds, plant height, fiber composition and quality, resistibility to lodging and fusariosis and other indicators have been classified. The received successes in flax selection on the Mogilev Regional Experimental Agricultural Station bring the big contribution to selection science and practice of flax sowing by creation and inclusion in the State Registry of New Grades of this culture, introduction in manufacture promotes productivity and quality increase of flax products. For realization of potential possibilities of the created grades of flax-fibre strict performance of technology requirements on cultivation of this culture and adjustment of seed-growing for maintenance of performance of plans on enough reception of conditional seeds of high reproductions, realization of timely carrying out of variety changing and variety renovation in the system of flax seed stations are required
