The objective of the present study was to explore the polymorphism of microsatellite markers localised on chromosomes 3H and 7H in 15 genotypes of Hordeum vulgare, spring form (2n=2x=14 chromosomes, genome HvHv), showing various susceptibility to Rhynchosporium secalis. We selected 33 SSR markers for the analyses (17 localised on the chromosome 3H, 16 on the chromosome 7H). One marker was monomorphic, 32 markers were polymorphous. We detected 172 alleles ranging between 101 and 235 bp. The average number of alleles per locus was 5.21. The dendrograms constructed for the SSR markers of both chromosomes together enabled to divide the analysed set into two clusters as follows: 1) genotypes resistant to R. secalis, 2) genotypes susceptible or moderately susceptible to R. secalis. This was not possible in dendrograms of individual chromosomes.
