The analysis of inter-relationship among the 15 quantitative characters in 44 germplasm lines of lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) was done during rabi 1996-97. The correlation analysis indicated that, in general, the values of genotypic correlation were slightly higher than the corresponding phenotypic correlation values. Seed yield exhibited significant positive association with harvest index, pods per plant, seeds per pod, biological yield, pods per cluster and plant height. These characters could be used as useful criteria for developing desirable plant type in lentil. There was negative association of seed yield with IOO-seed weight, protein content, methionine content and tryptophan content.
