A field experiment revealed that chlorophyll content (a, b and total), protein content in leaf, seed yield increased in early sown (6th November) rapeseed crop compared to late sowing (16th and 26th November, 6th December). However highest oil content was recorded on 16th November sown rapeseed. Sugar accumulation in leaf was noticed to be increased significantly with delayed sowing of rapeseed. Increased N-dose significantly increased chlorophyll, protein and sugar content in rapeseed leaf. But highest seed yield was recorded with 70 kg N/ha application keeping behind the other treatments (N-dose @ 30, 50 and 90 kg/ha). Highest oil content () was noticed with N-dose @ 30 kg/ha.
