A field experiment was conducted to study the effect of foliar sprays of different concentrations of methanol (0, 10, 20 and 30), applied at 30, 30+45, 45+60 and 30+45+60 days after sowing (DAS), on growth, nutrient uptake and yield of groundnut. It was observed that the height of plant, number of branches/plant nutrient uptake (N and K) and number of pods/plant were significantly influenced by the foliar sprays of methanol. Two foliar sprays of 20 per cent methanol, applied at 30 and 45 days after sowing gave the highest plant growth, nutrient uptake and yield of summer groundnut.
