Removal of important micronutrient deficiencies prevailing among the population were selected as topics for the nutrition education material, viz., vitamin A deficiency and Anaemia.The communication material produced for nutrition education were: (i) Video film entitled `Drishti' on Vitamin A (ii) Video film `Rakt abhakhani anaemia ki' on anaemia (iii) Comic book `Anmol Aanken' on Vitamin A (iv) Story cum puzzle booklet `Rakt Chetna Lok Chetna' on anaemia (v) Wall calendar with pictures and short message on anaemia.The impact of education through nutrition education by each method, whether single media or in combination, was statistically significant, indicating that each can be used for nutrition education effectively on similar population groups.
