In order to study the effect of interaction of potassium and magnesium on yield and quality of cotton (Var.Sahel), an experiment has been carried out in Bicola and Ghrakhiel agricultural research station from 2003 for three years. This experiment consisted of randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four levels of potassium (0, 50 ,100 and 150 kg K2O.ha-1) and three levels of magnesium Sulfate (0 , 100 and 200 kg .ha-1) equat to. x,y kg .ha-1 MgO with three replications. The results of three years showed that in Ghrakhiel station, there was significant difference with accuracy of 99% between treatments .The highest yield was obtained from K150Mg 200 with 3116 Kg.ha-1, that was increased 46.3% compare to the control. The results of quality showed, that the highest kiel percentage and micronaire index were obtained from K150Mg100 and K150Mg200 respectively .The fibre uniformity and strength increased by application of potassium and magnesium. The best elongation was obtained from K100Mg0 treatment. In Bicola(heavy texture) Station, there was significant differenc with accuracy of 99% between treatments. The highest yield was obtained from K150Mg200 with 2310 Kg.ha-1, that was increased 50.8% compare to the control. The results of quality lint showed, that by application of potassium and magnesium, the kiel percentage was increased at K50, Mg200 levels respectively. The highest micronaire index was obtained from K50Mg100. The fibre uniformity was finess. The effects of treatments on strength and elongation were strongth and well respectively. In Bicola(light texture) Station showed that, there was significant differenc with accuracy of 95%. The highest yield was obtained from K150Mg200 with 2484 Kg.ha-1, that was increased 47.0% compare to the control. The results of quality lint showed that by application of potassium and magnesium the kiel percentage was increased at K100 ,Mg100 levels respectively. By application of potassium, fibre uniformity and micronaire index were decresed the highest strength was obtained from K100Mg0 teratment. The effects of treatments on elongation was well .
