Evaluation of agronomic characteristics and grain yield of kabuli chickpea lines at autumn planting in rained condition
2007
Saeed, Ali
To evaluate and selection of high yield genotypes with desirable agronomic characteristics and adapted to Orumieh climatic condition, this study was conducted with three experiments (A1-test, A2-test and B-test), 17+17 lines selected from CICTN-05 and 10 lines selected from A-test & B-test (2005) and local check (Qhazvin) in randomized complete block design (RCBD) with 4 replications and 4 rows of 4 meters length and 30 centimeters width at Orumiyeh research farm. The nursery managed in accordance with the local recommendation contained land preparing, cultivation and disk in autumn, and varieties were planted on November 22. Weed controlling, we recorded the number of germinated plants, 50% flowering (DF), plant height (PH), plant type, maturity (DM), Ascochyta blight (AB) disease and cold tolerance (COLT), seed yield (YID) and 100-seed weight (100SW). Two rows harvested after eliminating of 25 centimeters of first and end of plots. According to seed yield means of per plots, analysis of variance was done based on RCBD by SAS program, there were not any significant difference at A1-test, however the line of FLIP 99-45C was superior with 1510.8 kg/ha. For A2-test that there was significant difference at 1% between treatments and replications. Mean yield comparison of adjusted treatments showed the superior of line of 11 (FLIP 02-78C) with 1538.9 kg/ha. At B-test there was significant difference at 1% between treatments and replications. Mean yield comparison of adjusted treatments showed the superior of line of 9 (FLIP 00-6C) with 1527.3 kg/ha. So the lines of FLIP 00-6 C, FLIP 98-143 C, FLIP 98-108 C, FLIP 00-17 C and FLIP 99-66 C which were superior than check for high yielding and other agronomic characteristics, were selected for more study on B2- test.
