This study was conducted from 2002-2005 at Safi- Abad Agricultural Research Center to evaluated the effect of using inorganic fertilizer ( NPK) and farmyard manure in direction of optimum use of organic and inorganic fertilizers in corn planting. The experimental design was a randomized compelet block with 4×4 arrangement of treatments. The treatments included four levels of inorganic fertilizers ( 50%, 75% , 100% and 125% of recommended rates on the basis of soil testing and four levels of farmyard manure ( 0 , 5 , 10 and 20 t/ha). The results showed that the main effect of inorganic fertilizers and the residual effect of farmyard manure on grain corn, 1000 grain weight and uptake of N, P and K by grain was significant. Application of farmyard manure increased soil organic carbon and available P and K significantly. Therefore, with regards to condition of this experiment and economic analysis of results, use of 50% inorganic fertilizers(NPK) in combination with application 20 t/ha farmyard manure with average grain yield (5.74 t/ha), 1000 grain weight (336 g) and N,P and K uptake 65, 14 and 23 kg/ha, respectively, every three years is recommended .
