Investigiation the sowing depth of different oak species By : Hossein Maroofi To Find the best sowing depth and soil to cover the oak seeds include two species (Quercus brantii and Quercus infectoria) an experiment carried out in marivan forests ( west of Iran)The region climate is semi . wet with moderate winter. Mean annual percipitarion is 812.5 mm , that faOs as rain in autumn and spring and ~ snow'in winter. Absolute maximum and minimum temperature are 42 0 c and. 25 0 c . The frost period lasts 75 to 80 dBys . The plan was designed as factorial experiment with four replications'. The experiment treatments contains 1 : Sowing depth include ( 0 , 215 , 5 , 715 , 10, 1215) centemeter. 2 : Soil to cover the seeds include ( usual forest soil, forest soil mixture with 20% manure and forest sou mixture with 50% manuer ) 3 : Species include ( Quercus brantii and Quercus infectoria ) The results show that the best sowing depth for two oak species is 5 centimeter and different soils have no significant effect. In the final of experiment the root net was studied. Result show the ratio length of shoot to toot is 118 which indecates a kind of adaptation in the studied species, that root growth speed is. the way to use the moisture by root in defferent horizon of soil and by this way oak can be able to survival in dijJicult region condition . ¬
