Consumer's consciousness and behavior concerning processed foods and their materials

The main purpose of this study is to make clear consumers' consciousness and behavior concerning processed foods and their materials. The results of the analysis lead to the conclusions that the consumers' recognition level of domestic materials in processed foods is different for each processed food and is not closer to understanding the real level of domestic materials in processed foods. We made clear that if the processing industries would like to promote the level of domestic materials and safety level of processed foods, it is very important to be aware of the consumers' level of recognition of domestic materials and the need for information on each processed food. The results of the cluster analysis lead to the conclusion that consumers can be divided into two groups. One group is very strict on the safety of processed foods and other groups have vague opinions about the safety of processed food. We made clear that the group that is very strict about the food safety has a higher level of clear verification about domestic materials in processed foods than another groups.
