The article contains reason, which for it is worth trying to keep the old farm animals races. The most important of all is maintaining genetic and cultural heritage for the future generations. It may be supposed than farmers pay little attention to the need of the protection off farm animals genetic resources because the farmers submitted only 462 applications according to the Programme PRAD - packet G01 in the whole country
