Information interchange within the framework of the regional land information system

The land information system used in Olsztyn (Poland) is presented. A brief description of the basic modules of the system is followed by an analysis of the Olsztyn LIS, with particular emphasis on information interchange between component bases. The following problems are discussed in the paper: standards of information interchange between databases, formats of data transfer, outgoing data generation by particular database-serving programs
