The objective of this paper was to estimate the effect caused by the application of various sources of carbon in culture medium on the biosynthesis of amylase enzymes during cultivation of Saccharomycopsis fibuligera yeast in a bioreactor. In the inductive media, starch content constituted 2 percent and consisted of native potato starch, modified potato starch, or native tapioca starch. During cultivation, optical density (OD), biomass yield, and amylase activity were measured in the samples collected. The Bernfeld method was used to determine the amylase activity. The highest biomass gain and the highest amylase activity in the culture medium were obtained when the native potato starch was a source of carbon in the culture medium
