The purpose of this study was to determine changes of lypoxygenase activities, contents of antioxidants (tocopherol alfa, beta-carotene and chlorophyll) fatty acids and soluble proteins, as well as, vigour in accelarated aged soybean seeds. The following soybean cultivars were used in the study: Williams 82, Goyou Kurakake and L93-7290. On the results obtained it can be concluded that beside the reduction of activities of isoenzyme lypoxygenase, the content of antioxidants has a very important role in the protection again st lipid peroxidation and maintenance of soybean seed vigour during ageing.
