Over of past few years, HACCP has become obligatory for food industry in Serbia. In spite of fact that GlobalGAP represents the basis for overall food production safety, these standards has not become operative at the farm level yet. In order to prevent or reduce the risk of food contamination, it is necessary to introduce various control measures on farm level. The aim of this paper is to review the importance, compliance criteria and standards of GlobalGAP for livestock production.
