In this paper, important clostria for humans and animals, new knowledge about pathogenesis, toxin effect on host cells, molecular base of toxicity, prevention, vaccines and new vaccines that are developing, are described. It is presented, also, retrospective review of anaerobic vaccines in Veterinary Institute Zemun, Serbia, since 1953 till today, from which some are in use now day, also. Considered are possibilities for extending use in existing vaccines on other animals sorts, production of new or combined polyvalent vaccines. Commented are standards requests (JUS, WHO, Eur. Ph.5.0) for control of anerobic vaccines and highlighted a need for production of national sera (antitoxins) and toxins and results of anaerobic vaccine control are shown.
