The Odonata collection of the Natural History Museum of Montenegro is comprised of 86 specimens. Although rather small, this collection still is an important source of information in terms of dragonfly diversity in this part of the Balkans. Exemplars of 28 species were collected mostly during the 2006 and 2007 summer seasons. Species Coenagrion scitulum was recorded for the first time for fauna of Montenegro.
