Experiments were hold at the Krasnodar Territory on leached chernozem of low humus content. Two hazelnut varieties were tested: Ata-Baba (a main zoned one, of Azerbaijan origin; the productivity of a 17-aged bush is 6-7 kg of nuts per a bush) and Luiza (another zoned one; the productivity is 4.4 kg of nuts per a bush). The contamination level of a test land plot was 500*10E6 Bq per square m. Radionuclide accumulation in the organs of these nut crops was measured during 13 years (1992-2004). The studied parameters differed depending on a variety. The Ata-Baba organs accumulated more Sr90 than the ones of Luiza: bark did in 1.2 times, wood did in 2 times, nutshell did in 1.7 times, nut kernel, leaves and buds did in 1.3 times. Probably, the differences were connected with a higher shoot-forming and yield capacity of the variety Ata-Baba. Intervarietal difference was not noted for the inflorescences. Radionuclide presence did not effect on productivity, wood gain and growth of the nut crops. Absolute value of Sr90 accumulation in a nut kernel was 856 Bq per kg for Ata-Baba and it was 642 Bq per kg for Luiza.
