Experiments were hold in the Kamenskij area of the Penza Region in 2002-2007. The effect of defection mud and zeolite joined with organic matter on agronomic and physical properties of alkaline chernozem was studied. Applying of them contributed humus formation and attaching in soil. The maximum humus accumulation was at zeolite and defection mud applying under manure reclamation background. The humus content increased by 0.21-0.25% and humus gross reserves did by 5 600-6 600 kg per ha. Zeolite and defection mud had nearly the same effect on deacidification of alkaline chernozem and organic matter raised that effect. The meanings of pH (potential of hydrogen) increased by 1.1-1.6 and by 1.6-1 -1.9 respectively. Mineral fertilizer applying under zeolite background decreased the effect of deacidification
