Kaziev, M-R.A.
Technological and ecological aspects of grape culture are developed for Submountain Province and coastal sands of the Republic Dagestan. The assortment is to be the follow according plant thermal requirements: late ripening varieties Agadai, Muskat Derbentskij, Rkatsiteli, Saperavi at the height of 150-300 m above sea level; mid-ripening varieties Ag-izyum, Khatmi, Levokumskij, Rubinovij Magaracha at the height 500-600 m; early ripening varieties Zhemchug Saba, Rannij Magaracha, Kodryanka, Bianka, Podarok Magaracha at the height of 800-1000 m. The limiting factors for grape plantations foundation are the altitude above sea level (maximum 550 m) and the slope (maximum 14 degree). The area of 719 000 hectares are found to be suitable for installing of vineyards. It is established that the conditions of the Central foothills are favorable for seedless grape varieties: Kishmish Belyj, Kishmish Chernij, Belgradskij Bessemaynnij; the best method of their drying is convector one. Salt composition of ground water is studied for irrigation. Chemicophysical properties of coastal sands are explored and their availability for grape growing on is proved. The proper technology, economic effect and assortment are shown. It is proved that the sands being free of phylloxera are favorable substrates for better realization of grape potential.
