Mycotoxins, secondary metabolites of fungi, represent a health threat both to humans and animals. The objective of the present study was to evaluate the effect of different concentrations of T-2 toxin in feed (from 0.5 to 13.5 mg/kg) and the effect of 10 mg/kg of either T-2 toxin or deoxynivalenol (DON) on the productive parameters and oxidative stress in growing chickens. Further aim of our study was to verify the potential nutritional effect of detoxifying agent Mycofix (R) Plus and dietary nucleotides on reduction of detrimental effects of studied mycotoxins.
