In the tested soil samples the total Cr contents as well as the contents of mobile forms and potentially mobile forms of Cr were determined. The total Cr content was determined in soil samples from 0.00-0.10 m, 0.20-0.30 m and 0.35-0.45 m horizons after their draining, regulation and decomposition by HF + HClO4 mixture using atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) method. The mobile and potentially mobile Cr forms in eluates 2M HNO3; 0.05M EDTA and 0.01M CaCl2 from the same soil samples were determined by AAS method. Achieved data were compared to the allowed limit values. The total Cr content in soils didn't exceed the limit value A 130 mg per kg. The contents of potentially mobile forms of Cr in 2M HNO3 extract also did not exceed the limit value A1 13 mg per kg. The cnock - down PVC columns in model kinetic conditions were used for studying Cr (CrIII, CrVI) sorption rate. The Cr contents in drained 0.05 m high soil columns were determined in extraction solutions 2M HNO3 0.05M EDTA and 0.01M CaCl2 after taking to pieces by AAS method with the instrument PYE Unicam SP9. From the view point of ballast by chromium in cation or anion form, the soil reactions (pH) of individual soil types are very different. Dystric Cambisols and Dystric Regosols with a low pH value, relatively low content of humus matters and low HK:FK rate seem to be the most dangerous. Considering the different elution ability of CrIII and CrVI forms from the whole content in the tested soils in 2M HNO3 extract it should be desirable to consider the proposal of different limit reference A1 value for CrIII and CrVI.
