Variation of soil moisture content (SMC) under paddy field using TDR (Time Domain Reflectometry) was carried out during dry season in November 2005 to June 2006. The objectives were to study the variation and rate of decreasing of daily and monthly soil moisture content. The data was measured every minute at 4 levels as 0-5, 5-10, 10-15 and 15-20 cm. depth in soil respectively. The results found that the rate of decreasing of daily SMC in each level were 0.36, 0.19, 0.15 and 0.15 percent by volume respectively. The monthly SMC in case of no rain (November 2005 to middle of February 2006) were 21.09, 22.47, 26.21 and 27.04 percent by volume respectively. In case of rainfall (Middle of February 2006 to June 2006), the monthly SMC were 21.21, 21.51, 24.52 and 24.37 percent by volume respectively.
