Endophytic fungi were isolated from leaves of 9 tree species which were Shorea obtuse, Shorea siamensis, Careya sphaerica, Morinda pubescens, Anthocephalus chinensis, Grewia criocarpa, Terminalia chebula, Fermandoa adenophylla, Erythrina variegate from Dipterocarp forest at Tak province in wet season 2007 and in dry season 2008. Healthy plant leaves were prepared by surface sterilization technique and placed on potato dextrose agar (PDA). The fungal identification was based on morphological character to genus level. The fungal endophytes frequency were calculated in order to comparison the distribution. Two hundred and thirty one endophytic fungi were isolated from 340 leave segment samples. Biodiversity of endophytic fungi in wet season were greater than dry season. Mycelia sterilia sp.3 was the most frequency isolated from all different plant host species. Moreover, the typical endophytic fungi genera such as Phomopsis sp., Nigrospora sp., Fusarium sp., Pestalothiopsis sp. and Xylaria sp. were commonly found in this area.
