Substitution of Eri Silkworm (Philosamia ricini, Boisd) hydrolysate for fish meal in hybrid catfish (Clarias macrocepharus x Clarias gariepinus) diets was conducted by divided into 2 experiments. The first experiment was designed to study the chemical compositions of Eri silkworm based on dry matter and its protein hydrolysate. The results found that Eri silkworm contained crude protein 52.46 percent, crude lipid 3.59 percent and has hydrocyanic acid 53.28 mg/kg dry basis. Eri silkworm was hydrolysate by bromilane enzyme from pineapple core 20 percent, and its potein hydrolysate was highest in 7 days (p LT= 0.05). The hydrocyanic acid content decreased against time (p LT= 0.05). The second experiment was conducted to study the optimal concentration of protein hydrolysate from Eri silk worm for replacing fish meal in hybrid catfish diet at the levels of 0, 25, 50, 75 and 100 percent substitution for fish meal protein. The result indicated that 25 percent of protein hydrolysate substitution for fish meal protein in catfish diet containing the 30 percent crude protein has growth, survival rate including feed efficacy equal to the group of fish obtained diet containing protein from fish meal (p GT 0.05).
