A field trail with pepper grown in an unheated greenhouse and drip irrigated has been carried out during the 2004-2006 period. The trail was done according to the block method in 4 replications, the size of the yield-recording plot being 9,6 m2. tested were the following variants: I Croup, var.1 - 120% of the irrigation rate; var. 2 - 100% of estimated irrigation rate; var. 3 - 80% of the irrigation rate; var. 4 - 60% irrigation rate. II Group, var. 5 - 100% irrigation rate in evaporation class A. On the basis of experimental data the relationship between evapotranspiration and evaporation from the free water surface has been studied, using an evaporator - class A. The has been found that the average value of the crop coefficient for the region of central South Bulgaria for the whole vegetation period is 1,40.
