Characterization of the Srmirustic Hen. Red genotype (SRR) | Caracterización de la Gallina semirrustica. Genotipo rojo (SRR)

Un total de 615 hembras y 72 machos de aves semirrústicas genotipo rojo (SRR) de 18 semanas de edad fueron ubicadas en dos tratamientos con cuatro y cinco réplicas cada uno, representados por cuartones donde se ubicaron 4,8 aves por m2. Se controlaron semanalmente los indicadores: huevos por ave/día y alojada; huevos rotos; por ciento de producción; consumo de pienso; conversión y viabilidad de hembras y machos. El peso de los huevos se midió cada cuatro semanas y el peso vivo a las 25, 28, 30, 40 y 50 semanas. El experimento se desarrolló durante 35 semanas (desde la 24 hasta las 58 semanas). No se suministró luz adicional. En la etapa de producción se suministró pienso con 2800 k/cal de energía metabolizable y 16,5% de proteína. Se realizaron comparaciones estadísticas mediante la prueba T de Students y para la viabilidad y el por ciento de producción se transformaron los datos para la ecuación sen-1√p. En el periodo estudiado se alcanzaron 136 y 143 huevos por ave/ día que representó 55,7 y 58,7% de producción sin que existieran diferencias significativas. Los huevos rotos representaron 0,5 y 1,1%. Se manifestó una producción estacional de huevos influida por la edad de las aves y la época del año. Las conversiones de pienso por diez huevos fueron 2.49 y 2.62 kg y la viabilidad de hembras del 89% y de machos superior al 99%. El peso vivo adulto de las hembras después de 40 semanas superó los 1900g y el de los machos fue de 2756 g. A las 26 semanas de edad el 53% de los huevos pesó más de 45g. Los datos descritos muestran resultados similares o mejores en todos los indicadores productivos en su comparación con la población original de semirrústicas, por lo que se concluye que el genotipo SRR mantiene las características originales y contribuye al sexado de los pollitos semirrústicos al día de edad por el color del plumón. Se recomienda estudiar la puesta estacional de estas aves.

A total of 615 females and 72 males from semirustic young hens, red genotype (SRR), 18 weeks of age, were located in two treatments with four and five replicates each, represented by smal houses where 4,8 birds per m2 were placed. Weekly records of eggs per bird/day and of birds housed were kept, as well as of broken eggs, production percentage, feed consumption and conversion and viability of females and males. Also, egg weight every four weeks and liveweight at the indicated weeks. The test was studied for 35 weeks, from the 24th to the 58th weeks of age. No additional light was supplied. At the production stage, a feedstuff with 2800 kcal of metabolizable energy and 16,5% protein was given. Statistical comparisons by means of the student's t test were carried out, and for viability and production percentage, the data were transformed for the equation sen-1√p. During the 35-week period under study, the birds reached 136 and 143 eggs per day, which represented 55,7 and 58,7 of production without significan differences; broken eggs were 0,5 and 1,1%. A seasonal egg production was shown as influenced by the birds ages and the season of the year. Feedstuff conversion per ten eggs were 2,49 and 2,62 kg, and the viability of females was 89%, while that of males was over 99%. Adult liveweight of femeles after 40 weeks was 1900 g, whereas in males it was 2756 g. At 26 weeks of age, 53% of eggs was over 45 g in weight. The reports show similar or better results in all the productive indicators as compared with the original population of semirustic hens, for which it is concluded that the SRR genotype maintains the original characteristics and contributes to the sexing of the semirustic chicks at one day of age by the dawn feather color. The study of the seasonal laying of these birds is recommeded.
