Formulations of carbendazole as a wettable powder and suspension were applied to groundnut plants (Arachis hypogaea L.]) as a soil drench and foliar spray. The fungicide was applied as soon as Cerrospora personata (Berk. and Curt.; En and Ev.) and Cercospora arachidicola (Hori) leaf spots were noticed on plants grown under field conditions during the rainy season. Experimental results revealed insignificant differences in the two modes of application and formulation types. However, the disease intensity was significantly reduced by using any of the formulations and modes of application which resulted in increased shoot. pod. and shel1 weights as wel1 as shoot-pod ratio. The kernel weight and shel1-kernel ratio remained unaffected.
