In order to study water stress effect on fatty acid composition of advanced rapeseed cultivars, an experiment was carried out in a split plot design based on RCBD with three replications for two years in Karadj.Treatments were included: 1- Irrigation in two levels as main plots such as common irrigation and no irrigation from silique formation to end of growth. 2- Varieties as sub plots in 12 levels including of Licord, Okapi, SLM046, Zarfam, Orient, Opera, RGS003, Hyola420, Talaye, Option500, Sarigol and Hyola401. The results showed that simple effects of irrigation and variety, and also interaction effect of irrigation and variety on oleic acid and erucic acid percent were significant at 1% level probability. Hyola420 and Sarigol with means of 67.96% and 64.20% had the highest and the lowest content of oleic acid. Hyola420 in drought stress and Talaye in common irrigation had the highest (68.54%) and the lowest (62.92%) oleic acid contents respectively. Also Hyola420 in two irrigation treatments had the highest oleic acid. Sarigol and Hyola401 had the highest (0.576%) and the lowest (0.103%) erucic acid contents respectively.Sarigol and Hyola401 in drought stress had the highest and the lowest level of erucic acid , respectively.Simple correlation among chracters showed that oleic acid had positive significant correlation with linoleic acid at 1% probability. Also, Oleic acid had negative significant correlation with erucic acid at 5% level probability. Eicosenoic acid had positive significant correlation with erucic acid at 1% level probability.
