Detection of adventitious agent in virus suspension for production of MMR and oral polio vaccines.

MMRC5 cell cultures and chicken embryo fibroblast cell cultures are used for production of MMR vaccines in Razi institute. Because Mumps virus can growth in chicken embryo fibroblast cells, Rubella virus can growth in MRC5 cells and Measles virus can growth in both of them. MRC5 cells are used for production of OPV too. Because three types of OPV (Type 1,2 and 3) can growth in MRC5 cells. Adventitious viruses can growth with this viruses in this cell cultures, before and after of virus inoculation. So, this vaccines are contaminated with other viruses and will have side effects. So, for detection of adventitious viruses in pools of vaccine, we need to perform Adventitious agent tests. This study was done for designing of Adventitious agent tests for detection of Adventitious viruses in viruses pools.
